We need spaces away from the overheated arena of public discourse to hear the stories, see the faces, and make connections with human beings who have recently arrived on our shores. With the help of scenographer Mikiko Uesugi, video designer Ryan Yu, and sound designer Andrew Bergmann we are building a palace that links the present with our individual and collective pasts.
